SPECIFIC LEARNING DISABILITY EVALUATIONS
Special education evaluations are intended to determine the presence of a learning disability. Pace Assessment Services, Inc. uses a careful, research-based approach to identify your child's strengths and where they may need support. The final report, which includes all results of the evaluation, is thorough and fully aligned with Texas Education Agency (TEA) guidelines for identification of disabilities.
INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY EVALUATIONS
An Intellectual Disability is defined by the Texas Legal Framework as sub-average general intellectual functioning that exists with deficits in at least two areas of adaptive behavior. Adaptive behavior refers to age-appropriate behaviors and skills that are needed for daily life, such as self-care behaviors and social interaction.
DYSLEXIA and DYSGRAPHIA EVALUATIONS
​Dyslexia assessment typically includes a measure of cognitive functioning, along with a thorough evaluation of areas such as phonological awareness, memory, rapid naming, oral language, reading, and writing. Dysgraphia assessments include many of these areas, with added focus on handwriting and orthographic processing. Math skills are also assessed to give a well-rounded view of your child’s strengths and needs. All assessments and reports follow Texas Education Agency guidelines.
